:: Extremes of subjective passage of time
  Joshua Pritikin
University of Virginia
The purpose of the study is to learn more about the subjective passage of time. While actual time advances at a nearly constant rate, our subjective awareness of time passing can vary greatly. When engrossed in an entertaining activity, one can lose awareness of the passage of time. Hours can pass without notice. At the other extreme, boredom can make us uncomfortably attentive to time. Minutes can seem to drag on forever.
